Essential Psychotherapy 3rd Year Training, Module 2: Personality Types and Leading Groups


 Course Description:

In this course, the student learns the elements of facilitating a group, from the practical details and structure all the way to how to mirror and give feedback. We also learn in-depth about personality types, according to the Enneagram, and the essential resource each type is attempting to embody. 

Course Goal:

The aim of the course is to help the students deepen in working individually and working with groups. 

Learning Objectives:

After completing this course the students will be able to: 

1.     Assess a client’s Enneagram type 

2.     Name the Essential resource each Enneagram type is compensating for with their personality tendency 

3.     Articulate the attitude of a group leader 

4.     Create a structure of a group therapy, exercise or meditation session 

5.     Give appropriate feedback in the format of a group therapy session 

6.     Match psychosomatic diseases with their psychological origin 

7.     Assess clients in collaboration with peers and properly refer to other professionals when appropriate
