Finding our True Will Weekend with Vedanta in Warsaw

  • Bhavana Center for Psychotherapy and Meditation 21 Bolesławicka Warszawa, Województwo mazowieckie, 03-352 Poland (map)

In this group, we will explore our will. Are we in touch with our true will? Do we sense the empowerment that derives from being in touch with the will of the Being within us?

Usually, we don’t understand what True Will is. Now, our will is entangled with the desires and wants of our ego, which is a defence mechanism. When we possess our True Will, we feel empowered, centred, clear, and have the attitude of a Citadel. Rooted in such attitudes and stance, we are filled with courage to face the challenges in life, and master difficulties. Further than that, we possess a sense of Self and we embrace our own uniqueness and potential.

We will explore the will phase, which is between 2-4 years old, a crucial stage of development in our formative years. Many processes are taking place at that time in our lives, that allow us to find our True Will. We learn many skills, like having boundaries, testing reality, being able to have choice versus control, differentiating a person from their actions, object and self constancy etc. The result is that we develop structure and we sense the Self, which is the most important. We will explore and investigate some of these processes, in order to regain what has been missing in our development.

Eventually, when we become aware and we heal, we are ready to welcome our own light, our true Self. Finding our True Will is part of this Self. We are present with a sense of solidity, we possess clarity about who we are, we have a sense of our center and our boundaries, we stand as a differentiated human being. This is the Empowerment.
