Beloved friends and students of EPI,
We are very excited to announce the release of a new manual by Vedanta on the Oedipal Constellation and how to work with it therapeutically.
The manual presents a protocol of 16 sessions. If you are a therapist, it offers a clear and supportive structure to guide a person through the various stages and wounds that may arise during the Oedipal phase of childhood, approximately between the ages of 4 and 6½. If you are not a therapist, you can use this protocol to deepen your own self-exploration and healing.
We are very happy to present this manual to you. It offers a structured series of healing sessions related to the Oedipal constellation and is grounded not only in theoretical understanding, but also in more than three decades of lived clinical and experiential practice. The work is deeply inspired by Vedanta’s own personal healing journey and her long-standing commitment to keeping the Oedipal force alive and conscious within herself and her work.
This book is an attempt to gather and systematize material that has been developed and refined within the Essential Psychotherapy Institute over many years. It is intended as a practical manual for therapists and teachers who wish to work psychotherapeutically with Oedipal issues including from the perspective of Essence.
The Oedipal force is fundamentally about connection and bonding with a significant other, about the capacity to give and receive love, and about belonging. These dynamics form one of the most essential building blocks of personality development. As such, deeper themes related to love, attachment, and belonging may emerge throughout the protocol and are carefully addressed within the work.
This manual integrates theory, practice, and hands-on interventions. Vedanta draws inspiration from decades of in-depth therapeutic work with individuals, as well as from her own personal process. The result is a sincere and comprehensive manual, born from countless hours of dedicated work and collective effort, addressing the complexity and depth of the Oedipal phase of development.
This manual is written by Vedanta Aspioti, in collaboration with Adhira de Grip.
